Cliffhouse has been playing its part in the development of sustainable tourism for over 5 years now. It's an ongoing, ever adapting, process. Where possible we use eco bulbs, kitchen waste is composted (please use the counter top compost container), earth friendly products from EcoStore NZ are used in the laundry, kitchen and bathrooms. New building materials are sourced sustainably. We're 100% responsible for our own water supply and run our own waste treatment plant. We readily acknowledge our impact on the environment and address this impact through a carbon offset planting programme. Our onsite nursery produces over 5000 native plants each year all planted across the property.
